Organisational Structure At NDTBC

The New Delhi Tuberculosis Centre is a Central Government-aided institute functioning under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, and is governed by a Managing Committee.

The Managing Committee comprises representatives from the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Directorate General of Health Services, Government of Delhi, Tuberculosis Association of India, National Institute of Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases, Vallabhbhai Patel Chest Institute, Delhi Tuberculosis Association, New Delhi Municipal Council and Indian Railways.

The Vice Chairman of the Tuberculosis Association of India serves as the ex-officio Chairman of the New Delhi Tuberculosis Centre. Members of the Governing Body are nominated by the Central Committee of the Tuberculosis Association of India.

The Managing Committee oversees the smooth functioning of the Centre and exercises overall administrative and financial control over its activities. It is empowered to undertake all necessary actions related to the planning, establishment, administration and effective functioning of the Centre.

NDTBC functions under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. The Centre is headed by a Director and organised across clinical, laboratory, research and administrative wings.
