RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES OF DIRECTOR, NDTB CENTRE

Administrative Duties

  • Director is the Chief Executive Officer of the Centre.
  • Provide administrative control to all the Sections.

Financial Duties

  • Performing the duties of Drawing and Disbursing Officer.

Clinical Duties

  • Provide consultation for difficult/referral TB cases.
  • Control & Monitoring of specialized OPD clinics.

Research Related Duties

  • Planning, research and evaluation of activities and management of the institute.
  • Monitoring operational research

Laison with other organization for advancement of Centre

  • Keeping liaison with different government/private organizations & international bodies.
  • Coordination with TB Association of India.

Teaching Duties

  • Teaching & training of medical students, both undergraduate of MAMC & postgraduate (MD & DTCD) students of VPCI Delhi University.
  • Training of interns of MAMC.

As Director STDC

  • To collaborate with STO in implementation of RNTCP programme for NCT of Delhi.
  • Overall responsible for all the activities undertaken as STDC of NCT of Delhi.
  • Planning & monitoring overall RNTCP activities alongwith STO.
  • Supervisory control of all the district TB centres of NCT of Delhi.
  • Responsible for training of RNTC personnel including MOs both induction training and retraining.
  • Financial responsibility regarding STDC funds including audit.
  • Responsible for supervising external quality assurance for microscopic activities in Delhi.
  • Responsible for IEC activities and advocacy & Chairman of Advocacy & IEC Team.

Spl. Chest Physician

  • Coordinate and support the Director in monitoring of the programme and providing feedback on the programme activities.
  • Coordinator of training activities

  • Undertake OR and provide technical support to research activities.
  • Attending routine OPD for DOTS & Non DOTS patients.
  • Teaching & Training of interns & PG students
  • Attending the duties of Staff Medical Officer
  • Keeping liaison with different organizations.
  • Streamline IEC activities
  • Any other responsibility assigned by Director.

Chest Physician

  • Attending routine OPD for DOTS & Non DOTS patients.
  • Teaching & Training of interns & PG students & RNTCP personnel.
  • Assisting Incharge in Monitoring & OR.
  • Assisting Incharge Training & IEC to conduct training & IEC activities at the Centre.
  • Any other responsibility assigned by Director & Section Officer.

Medical Officer

  • Attending routine OPD for DOTS & Non DOTS patients.
  • Teaching & Training of interns & PG students & RNTCP personnel.
  • Assisting Incharge in Monitoring & OR.
  • Assisting Incharge Training & IEC to conduct training & IEC activities at the Centre.
  • Any other responsibility assigned by Director & Section Officer.

 

Epidemiologist

  • Incharge of Epidemiological Section.
  • Attending OPD for epidemiological cases and routine cases.
  • Teaching & Training of RNTCP personnel.
  • Keeping liaison with different organizations for epidemiological data and survey.
  • Compilation of RNTCP data generated from different chest clinics of Delhi for epidemiological analysis & programme assessment.
  • Operational research
  • Coordinator of IEC activities
  • Any other responsibility assigned by Director & Dy. Director.

 

Bacteriologist

  • Incharge of Laboratory of the Centre
  • Teaching & Training of RNTCP personnel
  • Management of chemicals and reagents of Laboratory
  • Monitoring culture and sensitivity reading.
  • Training of lab personnel in RNTCP diagnostic strategies.
  • Conducting EQA protocol.
  • Providing culture and sensitivity facilities.
  • Implementing DRS in the State.
  • Providing technical support on RTNCP to STO as an IRL of Delhi.
  • Participate & carry out research activities.
  • Any other responsibility assigned by Director.

 

Statistician

  • Public Information Officer in consultation with Director.
  • Compilation, preparation and documentation of Annual Report.
  • Preparation and analysis of quarterly report of all the chest clinics of Delhi.
  • Supervision of RNTCP data of Delhi State for statistical analysis.
  • Preparation and analysis of state report.
  • Teaching of RNTCP Personnel & modular training of under graduate and post graduate students in statistics.
  • Training of doctors.
  • Any other responsibility assigned by Director.

Administrative Officer

  • Incharge of administrative section & look after the administrative aspects of the Centre.
  • Liaison with GOI, MOH&FW & DTUS for grant & misc. admn. work.
  • Management of RNCTP Training Programme of STDC.
  • Liasioning with misc. private sector & public sector organization for proper management of building/purchase/manpower etc.
  • Preparation of agenda/Minutes of meeting of MC/DPC/ACP.
  • Dealing with personal files, service books of all the Centre staff & office orders.
  • Management of cash flow.
  • Procurement and maintenance of machinery, equipments and material.
  • To provide guidance to accountant for preparation of annual budget & deal with audit parties and to look after the duties of accountant in his absence.
